Dr. Regni is pleased to offer dental veneers for our patients in Philadelphia, PA and the neighboring communities who are looking for permanent solutions for their cosmetic smile issues. Today we’re going to look specifically at our porcelain veneers, an effective cosmetic treatment option that can camouflage minor flaws and transform your smile quickly, discreetly, and minimally invasively.

If you have teeth with stains, chips, worn down enamel or are misaligned, uneven or abnormally spaced, dental veneers can fix these issues and restore your smile once again. To correct one or more teeth to perfect condition, our porcelain dental veneers might be exactly what you are looking for! They are custom-crafted for problem teeth using a thin, tooth-colored shell made from porcelain that is affixed onto the front surfaces of problem teeth using a bonding cement.

Placing Your Veneer

First, Dr. Regni will take off a bit of the affected tooth surface so that the veneer can be cemented to it, and then an impression will be taken of the tooth and sent off to a dental lab to be crafted. When the custom veneer comes back it will be trimmed to fit perfectly over the tooth. Next, the tooth will be cleaned, polished and etched to roughen the surface so that the bonding material can properly adhere to it. The veneer will then be placed to fit perfectly over the tooth and shaded to blend in naturally with the surrounding teeth. Your stain-resistant porcelain veneer will simulate your natural tooth enamel with its reflective properties of light, but unlike your natural teeth, will allow you to enjoy your favorite foods and beverages without worrying about unsightly discoloration.

Porcelain veneers not only look like your own teeth, but they function like them as well. Your veneers can stand up to the rigors of biting and chewing while giving you the smile you want and hiding any cosmetic flaws you might have.
