Promote Lifelong Oral Health with
Implant-Supported Dentures

The results of widespread tooth loss can be devastating, impacting your speech, diet, appearance, and self-confidence. However, implant-supported dentures can provide an effective, long-term solution. These restorations can replace a full or partial dental arch, providing unrivaled security and stability. In addition, dental implants are the only method of preventing further jawbone recession at the site of a missing tooth, benefiting your overall oral health. At our Philadelphia, PA, practice, Dr. Gerald Regni and his associate Dr. Adil Salik provide patients with implant-supported dentures to restore oral health and dental function.

Are You a Candidate?

Candidates for implant-supported dentures should be in good overall health. In addition, you may be eligible for implant-supported dentures if you have:

  • Significant tooth loss
  • Sufficient jawbone tissue to support implants
  • Not found relief with traditional dentures

Depending upon your needs, our team can provide you with either full or partial restorations. A full denture can replace all of your teeth, whereas a partial can restore a large section of your dental arch. During your consultation, we can carefully evaluate your oral health and the structure of your smile. If you have experienced significant bone recession due to tooth loss, you may require a preliminary bone graft before proceeding with treatment.

What to Expect during Treatment

During the procedure, Dr. Regni will make small incisions in your gum line and embed the implant posts directly into your jawbone. Typically, most patients will require six to eight dental implants to support an implant-supported restoration. We can then close the incisions with sutures before providing you with a temporary denture to wear while you await your next procedure.

When designing your restorations, we take the time to evaluate your overall facial structure to ensure proper fit and a beautiful appearance.

Over the next four to six months, your dental implants will integrate with your jawbone, creating a stable base for your restorations. Once you have healed, we can take impressions of your smile, which will be used to create your durable, lifelike prosthesis. When your implant-supported dentures are ready, you can return to our office to ensure proper fit and comfort.

The Benefits of Treatment

Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures offer unparalleled security. You will never have to worry about your restoration shifting out of place when you eat or speak. In addition, restorations provide stronger bite force, so you can experience greater freedom and comfort while eating your favorite foods.

Improved Oral Health

As these restorations are affixed to dental implants, you can also enjoy improved oral health. Implants stimulate bone regeneration, protecting your smile from future bone loss. In addition, we use the most advanced technology and techniques, so we can perform remarkably precise procedures. This minimizes the impact on surrounding healthy tissue, prolonging the longevity of your smile.

Aesthetic Appearance

When designing your restorations, we take the time to evaluate your overall facial structure to ensure proper fit and beautiful results. Implant-supported dentures can provide you with a more youthful appearance, which can increase your confidence and benefit your overall quality of life. In addition, we use ultramodern, holistic materials, which blend seamlessly with your smile and protect your wellbeing.
